Thank you Peter and Fiona for arranging our golf trip to Scotland in August / September. As always everything went perfectly. The GPS in our self drive van worked great and dropping off at the airport terminal was very convenient. St Andrews was enjoyable as ever and this year adding a visit to play both courses at Machrihanish was worth the long drive. Both courses are great and the " old " is a real jewel. The cottages, pub and restaurant were top notch and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed staying at Cameron House and playing the Carrick Course and Loch Lomond looked beautiful. The last leg of the trip to Turnberry was as enjoyable as ever. We have been coming to Scotland with Morton Golf Holidays since the 1990s and we hope to continue using their excellent service in the future.

This year we travelled to Scotland as a group of 8 x golfers and this was the second time Morton Golf Holidays had arranged our trip. On this visit we played some wonderful golf courses and we particularly enjoyed staying at the Turnberry Resort which is 5 star in every way. We also played at Royal Troon and Gleneagles and it was memorable to play the PGA Centenary Course which will host the 2014 Ryder Cup. We ended this trip with a round over the beautiful links at Kingsbarns. Our group was very well looked after by our driver Allan and we thought this part of the service was perfect. What an amazing trip! Peter and his team made our trip to Scotland one of the most memorable weeks of my life! They organized everything. The hotel in St. Andrews was perfectly located and the Turnberry Resort was the most spectacular hotel I've ever stayed in. The transportation was luxurious, comfortable and always on time. The golf in Scotland is the best in the world. That is the reason we came. But the most important thing is how well planned and organized every part of the trip was once we arrived in Scotland. The first thing everyone asks me when they discovered I went to Scotland was "Did you play the Old Course and Carnoustie?" I'm very glad we did so, but the great thing about Morton Golf Holidays is they have an understanding of the great old links courses that most people in the U.S. have never heard of. Every course is different and enjoyable. Playing the Old Course is like going to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa, but there are a lot of great works of art in Scotland to discover. Morton Golf can guide you to them. I think the best course we played is Gullane No 1 Course. The most memorable is Leven Links. I can remember every hole, none of which resembles another. The most fun course was Crail Balcomie. The one I could play every day for the rest of my life is Lundin Links. The only thing I'd change is that I didn't have more time to stay to enjoy the culture other than golf. We did fit in a lot of golf in a week. It's been 35 years since I played 7 days in a row. On my next trip, I will play golf two days and on the third relax and see the sights of this beautiful country and repeat it 3 times. I'm already thinking of returning in 2013 and will ask Peter to send a suggested itinerary early next year so we have 18 months to get excited about our next visit.

My son and I just returned from eleven days in Scotland with scorecards and game balls from seven world-class golf courses, hundreds of pictures of our memories of eleven days staying in wonderful accommodations, and exploring the picturesque seaside's of Scotland.
Almost three years ago, my son and I started planning for my seventieth and his forty-first birthdays, both of which are in September, by playing golf in Scotland.
Our first web search resulted in streaming websites, all guarantying playing St. Andrews. It took us a few weeks of searching to narrow the crowd down to a few promising sites. We composed and sent the same specific request for information to each of them. Only Morton Golf responded with a personalized email. We responded, and Peter promptly answered our preliminary questions, and suggested a path forward to ensure our needs would be met.

This was my tenth trip to Scotland through Morton Golf and, as always, everything promised was exactly as it had been promised. Royal Dornoch Golf Club remains my favorite golf course in Scotland and the village of Dornoch is in a beautiful piece of the country. Bank House Hotel is exactly the kind of small hotel that my wife and I seek out when we are travelling in Scotland. Getting to play the Old Tom Morris designed Tain Golf Club was a special treat. Peter, it is these small, relatively unknown courses to which you have introduced me over the years that make each trip to Scotland a unique experience. Castle Stuart Golf Club is new since we were last in the north of Scotland and just seeing it, as well as playing it, was a pleasure. It may be the most beautiful piece of land for a golf course that I have ever seen. The Sunny Brae Hotel in Nairn was another excellent choice. Staying there afforded Jane and me the opportunity to wander the wide walking path along the Firth which leads directly into the Nairn Golf Club. The dunes of Cruden Bay and Royal Aberdeen make those courses as challenging as any in the country. My wife and I never come to Scotland without spending a few days in St. Andrews. Staying with Stan and Mary Hastie at the Aslar Guest House is always a pleasure because they make it a pleasure. Morton Golf has found some of the most comfortable accommodations, throughout the country; whether they be large expensive hotels, or small, privately owned bed and breakfast hotels. Jane and I have never been disappointed. With the guidance of Peter and Fiona, my wife and I have wandered Scotland north to south and east to west. They have introduced us to their country, and to their countrymen and women. My wife and I never tire of the experiences.

Dear Peter - As I reflect and look at the pictures of our golfing trip to Scotland, I have been meaning to send you this note to thank you because the trip would not have been so memorable if we would not have you orchestrating each one of our musical requests. From the moment you immediate response to my online enquiry of your services to the constant monitoring you did during our tip. My son said it best. "Peter stepped up every time we needed him ... " The best way to summarize your service was on a Friday night when by error I put the wrong gas in my car and we were two hours from Carnoustie and we were not going anywhere that night. The way that everything was co-ordinated for us by Peter & Fiona meant that our trip was as stress free as you could ever have it. Our favourite course was Kingsbarns without a doubt. Absolutely beautiful course, visually stunning, requires a good game of golf to score well and every hole was different and fun. You have to push people to play this course. It is a gem. Alan our driver was incredible. He did everything that we asked of him. He kept us on time and on schedule. He entertained the non-golfers so well that a couple of the girls were thinking of bringing Alan home with them and leaving their husbands behind. The vehicle was top notch. Roomy, comfortable, clean with lots of room for golf clubs, wine bottles, quaichs and the odd beer. The Information Pack was extremely helpful and it was a great tool to help organize the day's events. Morton Golf Service was awesome. I can't think of another thing that Peter & Fiona could have done for us. Everyone has agreed that this was the best trip that they have ever been on and all of us have recommended your services to anyone who is contemplating going golfing in Scotland.

What a perfect week!!! What is better for a golfer to spend 1 week with his best friends and play links in Scotland? The organization of the trip and the courses choice satisfied all of us. The accommodations were as expected. Special award to Atholl hotel in Aberdeen which had been just renewed. We played wonderfull links during the six days of the trip: Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen, Nairn, Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart and North Berwick. Thanks to Peter Craigon for the selection because in fact they were all are very different from one to another. The way that we were welcomed in all of these wonderful golf clubs should be trained to a lot of French golf courses!!! I suggest to any good golfer to play Royal Aberdeen. The course will host the Walker Cup in 2011 and is already in preparation. We played 4 years ago at Royal County Down and I would suggest that Royal Aberdeen is the equal and may indeed be tougher. Royal Dornoch is fantastic, but no one will be surprised by this comment. Castle Suart is the most scenic of all but may be too young to qualify yet as a classic - time will tell. Finally North Berwick as the cherry on the cake and the course is as funny as possible, actually not so easy to play, and many holes couldn't be compared to anything else. All of us will certainly come again, and this time we will let Peter make us discover the hidden gems of Scotland, as proof of our confidence in his golfing knowledge of Scotland.

I liked North Berwick and feel that anyone who hasn't been to Scotland should play Prestwick if only to ground themselves for the rest of the trip. Glasgow Gailes was great with the free lunch and tags and power buggies for a second 18 and Gullane No1 Course was spectacular. We did do a tour with Archie Baird-who was himself-and also played the Gullane No3 Course and found it fun and challenging. The hickory golf should be a day in any tour. Firstly I would like to thank you both most sincerely for your hard work and great teamwork during my recent trip to Scotland. I felt there were many positives to take from the week and as a result I look forward to working with you both in the future. The coach was a perfect size and as for Sergio our driver he was simply fantastic! The most favourite course was by far the Castle Course, and the service as you arrived was fantastic. This has to be on the list for the future. Falkland Palace was a joy and super to have a German Guide and a Private Tour before opening. The British Golf Museum was also fine and the Walking Tour of St Andrews with the German speaking guide was excellent and a huge plus. The Whisky tasting and dinner at the Rusacks Hotel was excellent and we would add this again to the next trip. Lunch in the Links Clubhouse was very good with very quick and friendly service.

The trip : all was perfect, timing, airport reception, guesthouse, taxis, golf clubs welcome, and we were very lucky with weather!
Royal Troon is magic and our legs tremble on the first tee. The old course is imposing and we remember the great players came on this place.
Prestwick: I love it: authenticity, historic and simplicity. Machrihanish: a lovely day. All the organisation was absolutely perfect. A true links.
Western Gailes: A great links, very regular in its quality. No hidden traps.
I can't finish without speak about municipal Troon courses. We must come in your land to see that and understand golf spirit. Simply welcome and play. Fabulous. In all the clubhouses we received warm welcome.
About your organisation, I confess I was a little be afraid before trip, cause all was prepared with mails and I didn't know you. Today, I thank you for all. This golf trip was surely the best we did since we started to play at this game. Impossible not to speak about Elaine and her guesthouse at Sandhill House in Troon, a marvellous week, we were like at home. And now? next year? we hope we'll come back and east coast. I liked the golf, the B&B, our experiences with George, all were excellent. Very close tie between The Old Course and Kingsbarns. Two very different courses, both of which are tremendous. I cannot say enough about the hospitality at Doune House. Maria and Dell are fabulous hosts and I intend to write them to say so. Very much ditto for George and his vehicle. I had some misgivings about this arrangement before arriving, probably because of lack of experience with this mode of transportation. I would not do it any other way in the future with a similar group. George was thoroughly professional and always punctual. More than that, though, he was personable and we got the feeling he was genuinely interested in seeing to it that we had a good time. Our visit to the club making facility, which was his idea entirely, was excellent. I honestly feel I made a new friend in Scotland and sincerely hope to see him again in the future. The information pack was thorough and professional and contained all the data we needed. I would not consider using any other service in arranging golf in Scotland other than Morton Golf. The best part of the trip was, of course, the golf. The only course we did not like was the Castle. Everything else was great. George was terrific. We really enjoyed him and he did a superb job. The quality and the value for money of the golf courses. The friendly and accommodating club houses was also just what we wanted. As you probably know, on their day off 14 party members played Stirling again and had a wonderful day. Stirling was good with the views and an interesting layout. Dunblane was in good shape. Everything was arranged; we just had to show up. Which is just what we wanted - no fuss. Very good. We certainly want to do it again - the question is where? We may well come back in 2010. Having the opportunity to play the golf courses that I wanted to play and getting to spend that time with my Father. I think Carnoustie but it's a tough call. I just really liked the layout of that course. I also liked the Old Course simply because of the history and the mystique. I also liked it because I broke par for the first time! If you could line up a record round for all your golfers, you would make a fortune. I loved all of the accommodations. The Aslar guest house was very nice. The Golf Inn was great. The Bank House in Dornoch was probably my favourite place of anywhere I have ever stayed. I just loved the renovation of the building and the owners were very nice people as well. I can't say enough good things about the transport. The van was clean and the perfect size. Alistair made all the difference. He made an excellent trip into a FANTASTIC trip. His sense of humour, service and knowledge of the areas to which we travelled to were amazing. I would never travel to Scotland again without a transport. I though the service was fantastic Peter. The fact that you were there to meet us was a very nice touch. From day one, your responses were always prompt and informative. You got me on every course that I wanted to play and set everything up perfectly. I had no worries sending you that kind of money having never talked to you on the phone. Although you had come recommended, I still would have had no worries at all if I had found you on my own.

The trip was awesome, just awesome. As you know, we had very high expectations, but these were far exceeded. Everything about the trip was perfect, including luckily the weather. The accommodation at the Aslar Guest House was great, Stan and Marty were very friendly, the breakfasts were outta this world and the rooms were superb. George was amazing - nothing was too much, we just had to ask and he would sort it out. He made our lives so easy and hassle free carting our stuff back and forth. He was always keen for a laugh, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, and somehow managed to always make us feel like kings.
The whisky tour was extremely interesting, and I'm glad we did it and the tour guide was first class. Finishing off our tour on the Old Course was just the cherry on the top - particularly as I played well on the day and ended up winning the tour! In summary, Carnoustie and the Old Course were our favourites, and I certainly wouldn't miss an opportunity of playing Kingsbarns again.
It looks like we'll be back next year, and this time it will be 8 of us ... do you think Scotland can handle it?

Both George and Alistair added greatly to our overall experience. Aside from just providing the service that you might expect like being on time with reliable transportation when we needed it, they quickly became more like our travel companions, freely sharing a wealth of information about the areas we were visiting and anticipating any needs or assistance that we required, often before we thought about it ourselves (e.g., George taking our rain gear home to hang out and dry after a round, and Alistair ready with a cold beer in the van after we finished a long 36 at Troon). Links golf courses are different that they can be easy and difficult at the same time depending on our shots ... It was an incredible golf experience. The most beautiful golf course is Kingsbarns but we love the Old Course the most. I would want to play the Old Course again now that I know I am allowed to take aim at the Old Course Hotel ... The whole incredible experience capped off with The Open and witnessed Tom Watson ALMOST make history.

If you're going to do a golf tour of Scotland, Morton Golf is as good as it gets. They handled everything beautifully. We missed our connecting flight due to a delay and were worried about the car company showing up or having to forfeit our first tee time at Turnberry. One call to Peter and Fiona fixed everything. We pride ourselves on being true golf tourists. We travel regularly to taste the fruits of new courses, be it in our own sunny South Africa (with the rain pouring down as I write), the Indian Ocean islands, the Far East, UK - we like to get around. We thus had great expectations when we started planning our pilgrimage to the Home of Golf. However, as with many great build-ups in life, there was always the niggling seed of doubt that we will be disappointed when we eventually get there. The locals may not be friendly enough, the beer too warm, the Old Course not old enough. But our fears were never realized. We were treated like royalty by you and everyone else we ran into in St Andrews. The magic old town played the role of a real life character on our trip, charming us with her beauty and mystery. The Old Course was phenomenal, more picturesque than what she appears on screen, and even more fun to play than to watch the pro's show their skills. There was really nothing you could do about the beer, but the whisky made up for it tenfold!
Being driven around by George was a treat on its own. We will definitely make use of the driver option over self-drive next time as well. It was such a pleasure to have a sharp-witted, extremely funny, knowledgeable local like George showing us around. It is impossible to put a value on the enjoyment value George added to our trip. No request was too much trouble, even where it was to accompany us to a (very lively) pub in Edinburgh in the wee ours of the morning! We unreservedly recommend using George as a driver to anyone considering spending time in St Andrews or Edinburgh. He is worth his weight in haggis (the expensive version!). Thanks for arranging him for us.
When we initially planned the trip, we all thought it would be one of those trips that you tick off your to do list and then move on. How embarrassingly naïve we were. Scotland charmed us whilst St Andrews downright seduced us. We are helpless victims to their charms and now spend our lives devising schemes to get us back there as soon as possible. We had a wonderful trip, and a large part of our enjoyment was quite definitely due to your organization. I can't imagine being able to undertake all of the details such as tee-times, accommodation etc from Canada, and it was really nice not to have to worry about anything during the trip, knowing everything was taken care of. The rental car was very nice, and the satnav was indispensable, even though I usually had a rough idea where I was going. I imagine that a group who had never been to Scotland, would find it even more useful. We were also very impressed and grateful for the efficient way you solved our little problem with car, and on a Sunday to boot! The golf courses were wonderful (although the golf wasn't!). My personal favourite was Nairn, because I had not played there before, and the condition of the course combined with the view of the sea was quite stunning. The greens at Nairn were arguably the best I have ever played on. Royal Dornoch would be up there too, The four B&B's were first class, with friendly and helpful proprietors, excellent food, perfect locations, comfortable rooms and largely lovely outlooks. A large part of your value added is having someone who knows the establishments rather than trying to pick one off a website. I must add that the "Ryder Cup" at Panmure was a unique and excellent experience. The four gentlemen we played were incredibly welcoming, hospitable and friendly. It also gave my friends an idea of how match-play is played in Scotland - if you're not in the hole put it in your pocket! The Hill of Tarvit was also a fun experience.

It has been over a month since 7 of my golfing friends and I came back from a spectacular golf trip in Scotland and we are all still raving about it. Our itinerary included the great Open courses of Muirfield, Carnoustie, Turnberry and the Old Course at St. Andrews all made possible and arranged perfectly by Morton Golf. I have used other golf travel services but none compare to the excellent service we enjoyed from Morton Golf. Our trip was made easy by having a reserved van and dedicated driver who besides keeping us on schedule and being a wealth of Scottish knowledge could not have been more professional and friendly. Nothing quite compares to golf in Scotland and thanks to Morton Golf we all experienced it in the best way possible.

We had the best trip to Ireland we possibly could have had. Everything was exactly as planned and everyone treated us well - in fact the whole trip was excellent. "Some friends that are part of my annual golf trip to a local resort asked me to join them in a once in a lifetime golfing excursion to Scotland.
