Testimonials

We had a great time. The weather and people were very kind to us. George did a fantastic job looking after us and didn't miss a beat with any of our arrangements. The courses were all very enjoyable and it was nice to play the Old Course in somewhat traditional conditions.

We mightn't be back next year, but the year after looks very likely.

Regards
Peter Carlin Australia - 2009

Day 2

Play Carnoustie Championship Course venue for the 2007 Open Championship. One of the great Open venues Carnoustie Championship Course is a classic links course where Scotland's Paul Lawrie won in 1999. The great Ben Hogan won The Open at Carnoustie in 1953.

Day 3

Play Panmure Golf Club. Only 2 miles from Carnoustie Panmure is a very wonderful links golf course which was one of Ben Hogan's favourites. Hogan prepared for his Open triumph in 1953 by playing at Panmure. Panmure is an Open Championship Final Qualifying course.

Day 4

Play Blairgowrie Rosemount Course. One of Scotland's most beautiful golf courses this is also a James Braid creation. A tree lined and heath land golf course Rosemount was where Greg Norman won his first European Tour event in the Martini International in 1977.

Day 5

Play Downfield - a wonderful Scottish championship golf course Downfield provides a long and challenging experience. Host to many championships over the years the Scottish Open was here in the early 70s and more recently the Scottish Amateur Championship was won by Graeme Lowson from Auchterarder.

Day 6

Play Edzell - a beautiful moorland golf course located to the north towards Aberdeen but less than an hours drive from Carnoustie. Edzell is not too long but the course. On a historical note James Braid designed the course and played in an early championship along with Harry Vardon and Sandy Herd.

Day 7

Play Arbroath Like many great links courses Arbroath is laid out along a narrow strip of land with the holes going out and back along the terrain. The course has plenty of hazards, including numerous strategically placed bunkers and thick rough that borders the majority of the fairways. And with the Dowrie Burn in evidence on no less than eleven occasions, you'll need your its about you unless you want your ball to meet a watery grave. The greens are tricky, but good. Incidentally, Arbroath hosted the Scottish Boys Strokeplay in 1995.
