Overall, my wife and I enjoyed Scotland, its beauty, greenery, people, Golf and its history. We loved the links course especially Prestwick, Royal Troon, Old Course, Carnoustie, New Course and Gleneagles, they were all simply too good to describe in words but a pleasure one will cherish to eternity. Golfing in Angus - Carnoustie Golf Tour 1

Day 1

Arrive in Edinburgh Airport where you will be met by a company representative and escorted to your vehicle. Transfer to Carnoustie

Day 2

Play Carnoustie Championship Course venue for the 2007 Open Championship. One of the great Open venues Carnoustie Championship Course is a classic links course where Scotland's Paul Lawrie won in 1999. The great Ben Hogan won The Open at Carnoustie in 1953.

Day 3

Play Panmure Golf Club. Only 2 miles from Carnoustie Panmure is a very wonderful links golf course which was one of Ben Hogan's favourites. Hogan prepared for his Open triumph in 1953 by playing at Panmure. Panmure is an Open Championship Final Qualifying course.

Day 4

Play Montrose Links which is also an Open Championship Final Qualifying course. Montrose is to further to the North East of Carnoustie set in the dunes overlooking the North Sea. It has some spectacular holes in the dunes and is definitely one of Scotland's Hidden Gems.

Day 5

Play Carnoustie Burnside course. The course runs along side the Championship course and is often overlooked by the travelling golfer visiting Carnoustie. Ben Hogan played a qualifying round on the Burnside in the 1953 Open Championship. Although not as long as the Championship course this is still Scottish Links golf at its very best.

Day 6

Play Monifieth Links. Monifieth is just a few miles along the coast on the way back towards Dundee and the golf course is another Open Championship Qualifying course. It is an excellent links golf course and it is where the great Ian Hutcheon played. Hutcheon is one of Scotland's greatest ever amateur golfers and played in several Walker Cups in the 1970s.

Day 7

Play The Kings Course at Gleneagles - designed by James Braid the Kings has hosted many professional and amateur tournaments and was the scene of the first international match between the US and GB&I which was the forerunner of the Ryder Cup
