Golfing in South West Scotland - Royal Troon Golf TourDay 1

Arrive in Glasgow Airport where you will be met by a company representative and escorted to your vehicle. Transfer to Troon

Day 2

Play Royal Troon Old Course and Portland Course. The Open Championship has been held at Royal Troon on numerous occasions and was most recently won by Todd Hamilton who narrowly defeated Erni Els. The club boasts a beautifully refurbished clubhouse and all visitors are sure of a warm welcome.

Day 3

Plat Kilmarnock Barassie is to be found on the outskirts of Troon on Scotland 's west coast and has been offering the golfer a magnificent links golf challenge for over an hundred years. The course itself is a Open Championship Final Qualifying venue with a well deserved reputation for some of the best maintained greens in Scotland . The club has undergone considerable changes over the past few years and not only has twenty seven holes with which to test the golfer but also has much improved facilities in the clubhouse and professional's shop.

Day 4

Play Ayr Belleisle, in the main town of Ayr , is far from a course of modest aspiration. Designed by James Braid in 1927, simply to satisfy an increasingly insatiable demand for the game. It is rather a course of genuine and proven quality, providing an enjoyable challenge to hordes of appreciative golfers who are only too happy to sing its many praises. Belleisle is a classic and a parkland course of genuine character. Set in the harmonious woodland of Belleisle Park , its beech tree lined and extra long fairways are interlaced by the serpentine like Curtecan Burn.

Day 5

Play The Irvine Golf Club, Bogside sports a traditional links course established over 100 years ago owing much of it's present day character to the design work of James Braid in 1926. The course provides a challenge to all with its subtle changes in direction and no two holes the same. Irvine Golf Club hosts the Final Qualifying Rounds for the Open Championship when it is held at Turnberry or Royal Troon

Day 6

This is an excellent example of how links golf should be and don't miss out on the lunch in the clubhouse – savoury mince and poached egg is a favourite with the members.
