 The Murcar Championship Golf Links has a par of 71 and a standard scratch rating of 72 (USGA rating 71.6 and USGA slope rating 136). Murcar Links frequently features in the Top 100 courses in the UK and is in the VisitScotland Top 40 Great Scottish Links Collection as evidenced by the fact that in 2005, it hosted pre-qualifying for the British Senior Open. The testing Murcar Links hosts many national amateur championships and professional tournaments.
In 2006, Murcar Links hosted the European Challenge Tour's Scottish Challenge and the British Boys Plate.
